Dear Parents and Carers / Annwyl Rieni a Gwarchodwyr,
It has been an incredibly busy and productive half term here at school, with so much to celebrate and reflect upon. One of the key highlights has been our recent Estyn inspection, and I would like to thank our pupils, staff and wider community for their hard work, dedication and support throughout—everyone played their part in showcasing our school at its very best.
Alongside this, there has been a real buzz around the school, with a wide range of activities, learning experiences and achievements taking place across all year groups. From classroom successes to events and extracurricular opportunities, it has certainly been a full and rewarding few weeks.
As we reach the end of this busy period, we are all ready for a well-earned half term break. I hope that everyone has the chance to rest, recharge and enjoy some quality time with family and friends.
Wishing you all a safe, happy and relaxing half term. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on June 1st as we begin our final half term of the academic year together.
Year 6 Dragon’s Den
Year. 6 launched their very own drink brands yesterday, pitching and selling to the juniors as part of their exciting Dragon’s Den enterprise projects.
The children worked incredibly hard in teams to design, develop and market their products, showcasing a wide range of skills including creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and confidence in presenting their ideas. From eye-catching branding to persuasive sales pitches, every detail had been carefully planned and delivered with enthusiasm.
The event created a real buzz around the school, with younger pupils keen to visit each stall and sample the different drinks on offer. Every single stall sold out—a fantastic achievement and a true testament to the quality of the products and the effort that went into them.
We are incredibly proud of Year 6 for their innovation, determination and entrepreneurial spirit. They have truly demonstrated what can be achieved through teamwork and hard work—well done to all involved.
Year 4 Sleepover Success
Overnight Year 4 pupils enjoyed a fantastic school sleepover—an exciting opportunity that created lasting memories for everyone involved. One of the highlights of the evening was stargazing, where pupils had the chance to look up at the night sky and spot a variety of stars and even some planets. It was a truly magical experience that sparked curiosity and wonder among the children.
The sleepover was filled with fun, laughter and shared experiences, helping to build confidence, independence and friendships. Of course, after such an exciting night, we’re sure there may be a few tired faces today!
A huge thank you goes to our dedicated staff who gave their time and energy to make the event such a success, as well as to parents and carers for their continued support. Opportunities like this are so valuable, and we are delighted that our pupils were able to take part in such a special experience.

It is Exactly Rocket Science Actually!
Year 3 had an explosive time on the yard this week as they put their science skills into action with an exciting rocket experiment. Using a mixture of vinegar and baking powder, the children created their own fizz-powered rockets and investigated how chemical reactions can produce gas to create movement.
There was lots of anticipation as each group prepared their rockets, followed by plenty of excitement as they launched skyward.
A fantastic hands-on learning experience that combined science, teamwork, and plenty of fun—well done, Year 3

This week’s wellbeing quote is from Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882) who was an American writer and philosopher who promoted self-reliance, individuality, and a love of nature.
“Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
