Dear Parents and Carers / Annwyl Rieni a Gwarchodwyr,

Holiday Project – Years 3 and 4 were beside themselves with excitement yesterday as they embarked on a make-believe aeroplane journey to Spain. Cases were packed and sunglasses donned as they went through passport control, baggage handling, had security checks, before the cabin crew showed them to their seats and performed a safety check. The runway marshalls then guided the plane before take-off and off they went to Spain! I’m sure everybody involved were very grateful of all the preparation and imagination of the Year 3 and 4 staff. Take a look at Twitter for the extensive photos!

PTA Sponsored Challenge – I normally wouldn’t single out any one child when everybody has played their part in some way, but I feel I must give Ella-May a mention as she continues to send in money she has collected via Dad’s workplace. Thank you to her and once again to everybody who contributed in any way. As I said last week, our outdoor investment is now taking shape and every penny has made a difference!

Bank Holiday – Enjoy the long weekend. May I remind you that school is not only closed for pupils on Monday, but also on Tuesday for staff training.

Parents’ Evening – During the weeks beginning May 17th and 24th there will be parental consultations taking place via telephone. On Wednesday, I will be sending a pro-forma asking you to choose from the time slots listed when you would prefer to receive a phone call to discuss your child’s progress, wellbeing and behaviour.

Students of the Week – Well done to Will, Aurora, Eve, Sylvia, Paige, OscarW, CharlieR, Lucas, Eva, Piper, Nimrod, Alex, Henry, CharlyH, Ruben, OscarH, Amelia, Ryan, Max, Evie, Henry, Mia, Barkley and Archie. Congratulations all on being awarded Student of the Week.

IMPORTANT Year 5 and 6 Letter – I have asked Year 5 and 6 pupils to bring home an important letter for parents and carers’ attention. I’m hopeful it will be shared with you voluntarily, but just in case it isn’t, you’ll know where to find it.

Another week done! Enjoy the Bank Holiday.

Yours sincerely / Yn gywir,

Bryn D. Jones, Headteacher / Pennaeth
