Remembrance – We observed two minutes silence at 11am and in service this morning, Xander played The Last Post before travelling to Colwyn Bay to play the same piece at a Remembrance Ceremony for the Police. What an honour!
New Pupils – We said hello to new pupils Samadhi, Noah, Leo and Constance this week. They have all settled really well and we welcome all the families to the school community.
Go Ride Club – There will be Go Ride Club on Tuesday 13th November with the final session on Tuesday 27th November. There will be no Go Ride session on Tuesday 20th November due to the visit to Nant B.H. Times for the Go Ride sessions are as before: 3.30pm – 4.15pm. Many thanks for your continued support for this popular and fun club.
Dr Bike – As part of our work on developing sustainable transport; in association with the charity Sustrans, Mr Davis and Mr Brian Hubble will be running a Dr Bike session on Tuesday 13th November. The session will run from 9.30 am – 10.30 am and will give pupils the opportunity to bring along their bicycles and scooters to be given a full bicycle ‘M.O.T’. Mr Davis and Mr Hubble will be on hand to fix any minor bike issues and to check each bike’s safety. Pupils will be given a Bike / Scooter safety report and will be taught how to check their bike is safe before each ride. Pupils should bring their bikes to the bike rack, at the front of the school, where they will be collected for the Dr Bike session. We are looking forward to a positive activity and thank you, in advance, for your support.
PTA – There will be a PTA meeting on Thursday 15th November at 7pm in the school. All welcome!
Children in Need – This is next Friday and children can come dressed in spots and stripes for £1. We are asking for cake donations to be sold for 20p/50p and the School Council are organising various stalls with games at 50p each.
Odd Socks Tuesday – On Tuesday, pupils are encouraged to come into school in odd-socks, to promote the idea that it’s good to be different as part of Anti-Bullying Week.
