Dear Parents and Carers / Annwyl Rieni a Gwarchodwyr,
Friday arrives and I’m relieved to be able to say that Estyn have left the building. We have undergone a systematic, rigorous and challenging process, where every aspect of our school has been scrutinised in depth. All was done however in a fair and balanced manner and I elaborate further below. Now we are free to utter the word Christmas without fear or trepidation. Events kick off tonight with the PTA Fair and I will send details out early next week of our concert arrangements. Now November comes to a close, we can look forward to a special time of year, as the excitement builds towards the big day at the end of December. I think this Christmas is one that we will make sure we really enjoy even more than we normally do! Bring it on!
Yours sincerely / Yn gywir
Bryn D. Jones, Headteacher / Pennaeth
Estyn Inspection – As stated above, we were grateful of the professionalism and fairness shown by the Estyn inspection team this week. Although I am not permitted to share their judgements of the school in advance of the report’s publication, I can confirm that we are very encouraged by their findings. I am tremendously proud of my senior management team, teachers, support workers and clerical staff, as well as all other staff members and adults we work so closely with, including the Governors, for their efforts, their immense team spirit and determination for us to do as well as we possibly could. I’d also like to thank the pupils for their wonderful behaviour, attitudes, efforts and standards shown this week. They deserve every praise. Finally, I’d also like to thank parents for their fab support during the week. The official report will be published on the 31st January 2019.
