February is here already, with five weeks already ticked off this term! Lots to feedback, most of which is on twitter and a busy final week awaits before half term.

PTA Disco – This takes place next Friday after school. Please refer to the poster sent out last week. Infants first session, followed by the Juniors.
Crisp Recycling – Please encourage your child to use the crisp recycling box. You are welcome to collect them at home and bring them in also.
Vale Football – Good luck to the football squad next week in the festival at Bryhyfryd.
Urdd Netball – Well done to the Netball squad for their efforts in the Urdd Tournament yesterday.
Year 4 Family Service – Thank you to Year 4 for a well presented service based on a sporting theme. Thank you to Miss Price and Mrs Lewis for their work and to parents and relatives for their support.
Give Racism the Red Card Competition – Well done to Henry, Willow, Leyla, Indi, TylerOM, Ella May, PoppyT, Ffion and Gabby for their winning entries in this year’s Show Racism the Red Card Compeition. Good luck in the national competition!
Year 5 Family Service – Year 5 will take their turn next Friday at 9am. Parents and relatives are of course, welcome to join us.
National Categorisation 2020 – Wales’ Annual Schools Categorisation list has been published and we’re delighted and proud to retain Green status for 2020, the sixth consecutive year. This classes us as a Highly Effective School. Everybody has played their part! Hapus a balch!

Achievers – Students of the Week were Lilly, Paige, Jacob, Mathew, Oliver, Eva-May, Jay, Rebecca, Alex and Y4. Welsh awards went to Logan, Rebecca, Casi, Caitlin-Rose, Theo, Daniel, Amelia and Ben. Other awards went to Holly and Isla for swimming, Constance for triathlon and Tyler for football.
Year 5 Day Out – Year 5 had an action packed day on Wednesday, visiting Brynhyfryd for a transition session, the Craft Centre for a browse and then a swimming session. I’m sure they slept well that night!
Outdoor Classroom – Could parents please ensure that pupils vacate the Foundation Phase Classroom by 3.30pm after school please and only play on the slide.
National Welsh Language Music Day – Lots of Welsh activities this week. See Twitter!
Safer Internet Day – This is on Tuesday, with a colouring competition planned to highlight responsible use of the Internet. Thank you to the Digital Leaders for their work leading on this.
