Dear Parents and Carers / Annwyl Rieni a Gwarchodwyr,

PTA Activities – Many Christmassy PTA Activities have been planned, with details below. There will also be a quiz for the pupils in the last week as well as a special tombola in each class. Huge thanks to Lucy Purvis and her team for their work in helping bring Christmas to life in these strange times.

PTA Festive Hunt – A Festive Hunt has been organised for all in the local community. The theme is ‘12 days of Christmas’ and 12 images will be hidden within 12 of Ruthin’s shop window displays. The forms will be available at the Candy Shack or for Rhos Street pupils to request from their teacher. £1 per form. The activity will run from this weekend and all entries are to be handed in by 8th Jan to either the Candy Shack or school, after which a winner will be announced. All correct entries, who have the right shop names against each of the 12 days of Christmas, will be entered into a prize draw. Thanks to Sam Matischok for organising. Good luck and enjoy!

Christmas Jumpers – We are holding a Christmas Jumper Day next Friday, so I expect to see all manner of knitwear! If anybody wishes to make a donation on the day, then we will pass them on to Save the Children. There will also be some Elf Based activities, including finding out everybody’s Elf name, as well as the chance to colour in elf hat designs.

Congratulations Mrs Lewis – Congratulations to Mrs Lewis and family on the arrival of a baby boy. Tom Wyn Lewis was born on November 6th. It’s lovely to have some good news to share with you all! I hope Tom enjoys his first Christmas!!

Students of the Week – Our Students of the Week are Oskar, Mollie, Lukas, ArloJ, CharlieG, CharlieR, Eliza, Leila, Isla, Katelyn, Leala, Oscar, Aidan, Emi-Lee, Megan, Leo and Rebecca. Well doe to them all.

Year 3 and 4 Isolation Squad – It has been very strange here in school this week. We’ve been missing Years 3 and 4 like mad! The school is not the same without them and we can’t wait to have them back. Aidan and Emi have already been mentioned for their efforts above, but Mrs Hughes and Miss Price also want to give a mention to Tommy, Willow, DanielR, Jade, Sofia, MiaK, IsabellaW, EmilyD, Fletcher, Alys and DanielB for their efforts at home too. I hope everybody isolating has worked hard! See you soon!

Yours sincerely / Yn gywir,

Bryn D. Jones, Headteacher / Pennaeth
