July 12th 2019 Gorffennaf 12fed

Dear Parents & Carers / Annwyl Rieni a Gwarchodwyr,
We reach the end of the penultimate week of the school year and at the end of the day, we will hold our annual Musical Showcase, which will allow our musicians to shine no doubt. On Wednesday, we will hold our Year 6 Leavers’ Service at 1.30pm and that is always an emotional and lively event! In the canteen on Wednesday, there will be a Seaside Summer Party menu. I hope Year 6 enjoy their final week with us.

Rydym wedi cyrraedd diwedd wythnos olaf ond un y flwyddyn ysgol ac ar ddiwedd y dydd, byddwn yn cynnal ein Sioe Gerdd flynyddol, a fydd yn caniatáu i’n cerddorion ddisgleirio. Ar Ddydd Mercher, byddwn yn cynnal ein Gwasanaeth Gadael Blwyddyn 6 am 1.30pm ac mae hynny bob amser yn ddigwyddiad emosiynol a bywiog! Rwy’n gobeithio y bydd Blwyddyn 6 yn mwynhau yr wythnos olaf gyda ni.

Yours sincerely / Yn gywir,

Bryn D. Jones, Headteacher / Pennaeth

Quayle Award – This week, both schools on the site were delighted to receive the Quayle Award. Each year, the Civic Association presents a commemorative plaque to the owners of a building within the town or surrounding area which has, in the judgement of the Civic Association, improved and enriched the town or village environment aesthetically

End of Year Reports – End of year reports are being sent home today. I’d be grateful if you could fill the feedback sheet and return it to school next week. You may keep your copy of the report. The report is comprehensive, however, if, having read your child’s report, you feel that there is a need to discuss it further, then please inform us on Monday morning, so that we may arrange an appointment with your class teacher. Included with the report is attendance data and National Test results for Year 2-6. Year 2 and 6 will also receive their end of Key Stage Assessment Results.

PTA Quiz – We’re grateful to all who supported our PTA Quiz, with over £200 raised! A special thank you to Lucy for preparing and running the quiz so efficiently and also to The Feathers for the wonderful hospitality.

This Week’s Trips – See twitter this evening for photos.

Achievers – Students of the week were Jay, Mia, MiaK, Shreya, Holly, Mikolaj, Xavier, Connie, Oscar, Seren and Georgia. James, Ben, Jason, Rebecca, Chloe, Daniel and Xavier won Welsh awards.
